, and the 350hp upgrade for the old Focus RS was well received. Now the latest Mountune fettle has been announced, one that's likely to prove very popular indeed...
One way to make it look subtle
Focus RS
is here. The hot hatch of the moment, arguably the most significant performance car of the year, can now be made quicker. The important numbers for the new upgrade are 375hp (up 25hp from standard), an overboosted 376lb ft (normally that's 347lb ft) and £899 plus fitting. That's been achieved through an ECU remap, a high performance air filter, an upgraded air re-circulation valve and a new alloy crossover duct with silicone hoses.
The result is 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds, an absurdly fast time for a hot hatch. Top speed is unchanged at 165mph. Insert your 'nothing is faster in the real world' comment now.
The Mountune pack retains the Ford warranty, meaning it's covered against mechanical failure for three years or 60,000 miles. The upgrade takes 90 minutes at any Mountune-appointed Ford dealer.
