PHer W00DY didn't need to see much more than "pop-up headlights and a spectacularly red interior" to be convinced that this week's Reader's Car was right for him. Sure, a few of the features - like air conditioning and cruise control - don't work yet but that interior is certainly impressive nonetheless, and will be even more so once they're fixed.
Originally sold in the States, the Mazda MX-6-based Probe is left-hand drive and was driven there for a few years before being put in to storage then brought to the UK. For 20 years. No matter your feelings about its performance, all cars deserve to be driven, so we're glad the current owner of this one has it back on the road once more.
With the original post dating back to April, enough time has elapsed for a few good updates in the thread, like some excellent new wheels and a few more detailed pictures of that interior. W00DY must really love red because there's no escaping it in this Probe. See what you think for yourself by viewing the full thread here.
