Porsche may have de-listed the Carrera GT a while back, but that hasn’t stopped people wanting to play with the 1,270 cars the factory produced between 2003 and 2006.
Enter Gemballa, who will show their latest take on the GT at Geneva next week – the Mirage GT Carbon Edition.
With a small factory just 20kms down the road from Porsche in Zuffenhausen, it’s no surprise that Gemballa was recently awarded the ‘Number 1 Porsche Tuner’ gong by Germany’s motoring media.
Few details about the new Carrera GT package have been released prior to the show, but Gemballa does say that power has been uprated from the standard car’s 600-odd to a mighty 670bhp. As a result, the car is apparently capable of 208mph – which is where the carbon aero elements of the conversion come into play.
Hopefully there’ll be more news on the car from the show next week, but for now you’ll have to make do with drooling over Gemballa’s latest pictures.
