AC today announced that they are producing a retro-fit hardtop for their famous AC MK111, MK1V and AC CRS models. The hardtop is constructed out of composite and is internally trimmed. The existing side screens of the car are retained and judging by the pictures there is a '

significant

' amount of headroom available to both the driver and passenger. The hardtop can be colour coded to match most cars.

“The hardtop transforms the car into an all weather form of transport ,” said John Owen, Chief Technical Officer of AC Cars. “I have had numerous requests from customers for this product and I am sure that nobody will be disappointed when they see it .”

The hardtop should fit all the original AC models as described above. Due to the cars being individually hand built there will be a small number of minor modifications required. The price in the UK will be £4,695 plus VAT. This includes fitting. The export price for the USA and other markets will be $6,895 plus shipping.
