Infiniti has released more details on the drop-top version of its G37, a model that arrives in the UK just in time for, er... Autumn.
G37 has 3.7-litre V6 power
Although prices have yet to be confirmed (we estimate around £38k), Infiniti reckons the styling and spec of its new model make it ‘the most seductive yet’, with a list of available goodies that includes a new integrated information and entertainment system called Connectiviti+. The system features a hard drive with space to upload 300 CDs and a nav system with a 3D ‘points of interest’ database including scenic routes from the Michelin Green Guide - just the ticket for touring on the continent!
First things first though, and the G37 Convertible comes with a 3.7-litre V6 petrol engine sending 316hp to the rear wheels via a manual or auto gearbox – making the car one of the fastest four-seat convertibles with a 0-62mph time of 6.2secs. Top speed is limited to 155mph.
Three-piece roof folds in 25secs
The roof is a three-piece folding metal item that retracts in 25 seconds, controlled from inside the car or by a button on the door handle.
The range starter model will be known as the GT, and standard specification will include 19-inch alloys, leather seats, active-cornering Xenon headlamps, dual-zone adaptive climate control, and ‘self-healing’ scratch resistant paint. (I wonder if they’ll mind us trying that feature on their test cars?)
G37 delivers 0-62mph in 6.2secs
The GT Premium gets the Connectiviti+ system which also includes a rear view camera, memory and cool air functions for the electric front seats and a 13-speaker Bose premium sound system.
