That Corvette is such a lightweight
The new ZR1 is being raved about at the moment but US tuner Katech Performance has just released an interesting alternative called the ClubSport. This track special is based on the Corvette Z06 but promises more grip, power and safety.
Curb weight is down to 1,281kg but power can be increased to 585bhp thanks to an array of LS7 engine packages. A new stainless steel exhuats system is also available as well as carbon fibre replacements for the bonnet, front bumper and spoiler.
Katech engineers have also added a set of 14-inch two-piece cross-drilled brake discs from Brembo with six-piston callipers up front and four-piston at the back. The wheels are single-piece forged aluminium that measure 19" and are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport rubber.
The new package is available exclusively through Katech and Les Stanford Chevrolet in Dearborn, Michigan.
