This year's sequel to the The Matrix is the most anticipated movie of the year. We can expect some specatucular action from the film including a chase scene likely to go down in the history books.
For the scene, a mile and a quarter long freeway was built in California and Cadillac pitched in with the cars. About a dozen Cadillac Escalade EXTs and CTS's each were used in the scene. However, since Warner Brothers asked for the cars a year before the cars were produced, Cadillac engineers had to bodge the cars together - cutting and pasting parts of Escalade prototype vehicles with Chevy Avalanche prototypes to make the EXT.
The sleek black and silver cars zoom through the freeway, all while the films stars battle in larger-than-life kung-fu fighting. Product placement such as this is a marketers' dream come true!
