MB Roadcars (MBR) has announced it will be exhibiting its new EOS supercar at the Heritage Motor Centre next month.
The EOS, whose first public outing was in Monaco last month, features a three-seat layout with central driving position, and its advanced aerodynamic shape, with a two-element front wing and side winglets, has been designed from the outset using the latest F1 computer-aided-design and computational fluid dynamics technology. The high-strength monocoque chassis uses carbon-fibre composite materials, which will keep the kerb weight to a 1,000Kg.
The car uses a bespoke engine from Mader Racing, based on an all-alloy V8 race engine currently used in the new GP2 series. Mid-mounted, tuned to 500bhp and exclusively badged ‘MBR-V8’, this engine will give EOS a power to weight ratio of 0.5bhp per Kg. The car's double-wishbone unequal length suspension features inboard spring/damper units activated by pushrod.
The EOS joins a fantastic array of the world's ultimate sportscars on display for the special Fathers' Day 'Supercar Sunday' event on 19 June 2005. The display will include Britain's largest collection of Lamborghinis, and individual supercar owners are also invited to exhibit their own vehicles, which will be eligible for the 'Supercar of the Year' competition. Members of the MBR team will be on hand throughout the day to show visitors round their latest creation and to answer all questions.
The 'Sporting Bears' charity will also be arranging rides in a selection of exotic cars, in exchange for a donation to the charity, and there will be a variety of outdoor activities for the whole family, including go-karting, a children's roadway and off-road 4x4 rides.
The Heritage Motor Centre is home to the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust, which maintains the world's largest collection of classic, vintage and veteran British cars. With over 300 historic vehicles in the collection, the museum charts the history of the British car industry from the turn of the century to the present day.
When: Saturday 18 June to Friday 24 June 2005, show opens at 10am.
Where: Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon
