A woman who describes herself as the ‘meanest mom on the planet’ has become a hero for selling her son’s car because she found alcohol in it.
After reportedly finding booze under the front seat, Jane Hambleton, from Iowa, placed an ad in the local newspaper that read: ‘OLDS 1999 Intrigue. Totally uncool parents who obviously don't love teenage son, selling his car. Only driven for three weeks before snoopy mom who needs to get a life found booze under front seat. $3,700/offer. Call meanest mom on the planet.’
She said she was then flooded with calls, but not just from potential buyers.
Not only has the 48-year-old had calls from emergency room technicians, nurses and school counselors who wanted to congratulate her, but she has reportedly been offered an exclusive deal from Oprah Winfrey.
The son claims the bottle belonged to a friend but his mum says that she laid down non-negotiable rules when she gave him the car.
