Mitsubishi has confirmed there will be a 235bhp Ralliart version of its new Lancer Sportback.
The company has released three images of the production car which will be officially launched at the Paris Motor Show in October.
The car is based on the Prototype S which appeared in February and is essentially a hatchback version of the Lancer.
There will be 108bhp 1.5-litre and 141bhp 1.8-litre petrol versions and a 138bhp 2.0-litre diesel will be available.
But Mitsubishi said there will be a Ralliart version with a 235bhp turbo 2-lite four and power will be sent to all four wheels via Mitsubishi's Twin Clutch SST transmission.
The car also uses Mitsubishi's Active Centre Differential to split power between the front and rear wheels.
