Green Flag, has launched a competition to find the country's best budding amateur motorsport photo-journalists, as part of its sponsorship of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC).
There are two categories in the competition - junior (under 18 years) and senior (18 years and over). On offer is total of £1,000 in cash prizes plus VIP hospitality at the last race of the season at Donington Park on September 26 and the chance to learn tricks of the trade from a professional motorsport photographer. Two runners-up in each category will each win a pair of tickets to the Donington event.
This is the third successive year that Green Flag has run this popular competition and to celebrate it is presenting an extra challenge for would-be hot-shots. Five pairs of tickets are up for grabs to the last race at Donington plus merchandising for amateur snappers of any age who submit photos to the judges that feature touring car and single-seater racing stars of the future and women who race or work in motorsport behind the scenes.
This year's judging panel is made up of Hillary Williams, Green Flag's marketing director, Jakob Ebrey, motorsport photographer and touring car driver Dan Eaves. The winning photographs and runners up will be displayed on Green Flag's website, dedicated to the company's sponsorship of the BTCC at www.greenflagbtcc.com
