Drivers looking at ways to control their annual running costs should take
note of a brand new ‘healthcare scheme’ for cars. From as little as £24.99
a month, motoreasy will take care of the costs of servicing, repairing faults
and passing an MOT, along with comprehensive breakdown cover throughout the UK
and, for up to 60 days, in Europe.
It''s an interesting package, with no vehicles examinations required and the
cost calculated by engine size and miles covered per year. There are exceptions
or additional premiums for more complex cars such as some BMW 7 series and Audi
A8''s but otherwise it''s incredibly simple.
Under the motoreasy scheme, should a member’s car suffer a mechanical
breakdown, motoreasy will provide comprehensive breakdown recovery, including 60
days protection in Europe and necessary repairs up to a maximum of £5000 under
its market leading warranty scheme. motoreasy will also provide up to £500 for
parts and labour to help correct MOT failures.
Checking out their website it would appear that five litre sportscars could
be covered for £54.99 monthly including servicing (based on 12,000 miles per
year and allowing for one service). Sounds too good to be true. If you can spot
the loophole let us know!
