No return for Red 5 at Silverstone
Nigel Mansell will not be driving in the final round of the 2010 Le Mans Series at Silverstone this weekend on doctor's orders.
The 1992 Formula One World Champion, who had a massive high speed crash at Le Mans in June, was hoping to return to the cockpit alongside his sons Leo and Greg for the Silverstone 1000km on Sunday 12 September. In a development that will be a huge disappointment to his myriad fans, we've just learned via a team press release that Nigel has not been cleared medically to recommence driving duties.

"While I am extremely disappointed not to be racing this weekend at Silverstone I will be there in my capacity as Team Owner and working with Leo, Greg and the rest of the team to give us the best chance of a good result at our home event and finish our first LMS season on a high," the great man is quoted as saying, so there's still a chance
