The '70s. Smell the heroism.
Following hot on the heels of Manish Pandey's Ayrton Senna movie, Niki Lauda could be the next F1 ace whose career gets the silver screen treatment.
According to a report on ESPN, Oscar-nominated screenwriter Peter Morgan is currently toiling over a script with the official backing of the Austrian racer.
The movie is said to centre on the 1976 season, when Lauda escaped fiery death at the Nurburgring before returning to the fray within weeks to battle James Hunt for a title the Englishman eventually clinched.
"Anyone who is 25 or 26 with his right ear burnt off and dreams to be made up to look like me can start making plans," Lauda is reported to have told the Austrian media.
