Previous Club Sport was lukewarm
Nissan is to reveal a revised version of its Nismo Club Sport package for the R35 GTR at the Tokyo Auto Salon show later this month.
Few details are currently known about what exactly the package will consist of, but we do know that it will feature Nismo's new 'Data Logger Kit', which makes driving a GTR even more like a computer game by allowing telemetry details to be downloaded to a USB stick and viewed on a computer.
The original Nismo Club Sport Package was released back in September 2008, but only to the Japanese market. The package wasn't particularly extensive, just bringing a few lightweight parts and Bilstein 'Damptronic' struts to tighten up Godzilla's handling. It's not yet known if the revised package will be any more serious or whether it'll finally make its way (officially) to the UK.
The Nismo Club Sport GTR is just one of the nine cars Nissan will be showcasing at the 2010 Tokyo Auto Salon, the annual aftermarket modifiers' show (and Japanese car fans' wet dream). Nissan's sizeable stand will also feature the gorgeous 2008 Xanavi Nismo GT-R racing car from the Japanese Super GT series, along with a Nismo version of the Fairlady Z (370Z in English).
Modified versions of most of Nissan's Japanese road car range will be on the stand, including the Roox (wardrobe-style Kei car), Serena (boxy MPV that's long-since fled the UK), Skyline saloon and coupe, the Note and even the humble Cube. A Nismo Cube - sounds like a puzzle game.
The Tokyo Auto Salon runs from 15-17 January at the Makuhari Messe convention centre just outside Tokyo.
