Porsche GB today revealed prices and specifications for the Panamera so we can all start saving up for its showroom debut in September.
£72,266 will be the sticker price on the rear drive Panamera S ‘entry-model’ but you’ll need £77,269 for the Panamera 4S while the top-of-the-range Turbo comes in at a heady £95,298.
Both non-turbo models share a 400bhp V8, with the Turbo version getting an extra 100bhp. Porsche says the boggo Panamera S will hit 62mph in 5.4secs from a standing start, and it tops out at 176mph. Paying for the Turbo’s extra oomph knocks 1.2secs off the 0-62 time and gives you a 188mph maximum.
Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (a.k.a. ‘PDK’) double-clutch seven-speed transmission is available as an option for £2,289 on the S which comes as standard with a regular six-speed box. The Panamera 4S and Turbo both share four-wheel drive and feature the PDK system as standard.
Standard features on all models include a full leather interior, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Bi-Xenon headlights, rear ParkAssist, tyre pressure monitoring, automatic dimming rear view mirrors, Porsche Communication Management with touch screen satellite navigation and audio controls, and a Bluetooth compatible telephone module – complete with cordless handset for use by rear seat passengers.
All models also feature a ‘sport’ button, which increases throttle response, selects the sport suspension setting and adjusts the PDK shift settings, if fitted.
There’s also a new Auto Start Stop function that will save fuel at traffic lights.
S and 4S models come on 18ins alloys, although 19ins and 20ins alternatives will be available. The Turbo gets 19ins alloys as standard, and its higher specification includes an adaptive air suspension system that actively adjusts ride height.
