With the sun coming out (a bit) PH is already buzzing with the idea of heading down to Le Mans this year, and we hope you are too. As we mentioned a short while ago, this year PistonHeads has linked up with our furry friends at White Rabbit Racing to create a Le Mans camping area that is exclusive to PHers. What you get is a secure camping area, with larger reserved pitches of approximately 50 square metres, as well as dedicated showers and toilets, a central social area with a cold beer and soft-drink bar.
The idea is to provide a bit of luxury for the Le Mans weekend, with like-minded people and hopefully a great place to relax away from the craziness of race weekend. It is called Area-24 and will be situated at Beausejour, see here and you have the added bonus of not having to rush to get a cramped spot at the site – the pitch is reserved for you. The site will also be fenced off and secure along with marshals on patrol to guarantee strict members only access. WRR and PH hope to offer catering too, with hearty breakfasts and a range of dinners in the evening - we'll keep you updated as we know more.
WRR offers a fixed price ferry deal with Norfolk Line, priced at £38 return - guaranteed until the 28th February, details of which can be found here (you will need to join WRR to view - but will not be spammed nor charged). Official convoys will take place Monday to Friday from the 08.00 Norfolk Line crossing with a group return at 18.00 on Monday. Discounted Le Mans race tickets can also be purchased from the ACO welcome centre by showing your WRR/PH camping pass. Plenty of people have already signed up but there are still spaces.
To book your place please e-mail Guy at WRR and he will reply with booking details and more information.
Details of the PH/WRR Le Mans camping can also be found here.
