It's safe to say that summer well and truly has arrived in London in terms of supercar spotting. During March the sun certainly shone on our capital city, and with it came an influx of weird, wonderful and overwhelmingly expensive automobiles. Now that winter is behind us, more and more visitors from the Middle East and Europe are returning to our streets with the latest and greatest offerings from Maranello, Woking and Stuttgart.
Notable arrivals from overseas include the first customer Lamborghini Centenario. One of only 20 coupes to be made, it was seen driving in convoy with a matching satin white Ferrari LaFerrari - an incredible sight even by London standards. After that it's the usual 'resale red' LaFerraris, now quite dated Bugatti Veyrons, and any other modern hypercar you care to mention. Such is the wealth of supercars in London that you really do need to own a one of 20 Lamborghini Centenario to stand out.
That is not to say that us humble Brits didn't put on a good show. Our highlight this month has to be the stunning red Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato. You can forget your Centenarios and Veyrons seemingly; this car is in a league of its own. Is there a better looking modern car? Probably not. Only 99 are going to be made, so if you are lucky enough to see one then make sure you take the time to appreciate it! Then towards the end of the month appeared one of the most aggressive cars London has ever seen - the Pagani Zonda 'Mileson'. This 760hp monster made its debut on our streets closely followed by crowds of adoring car spotters wanting to catch a glimpse of its exposed blue carbon with orange glitter, and of course those enormous rear wings (that's not a typo, there are two). You'll notice the car is 2017 registered. Yes, they are still making the Pagani Zonda in 2017 if you're wondering...
Other interesting spots include a unique MSO P1 parked back to back with H.R. Owen's F2001 race car, a superb Renault Clio V6, the unusual Gulf Stirling Nova, and a satin blue Koenigsegg Agera R somewhat overshadowing the Aventador parked nearby.
Check back in a month's time for April crop, which almost certainly will not disappoint.
