Perhaps it’s the balmy British heat that is playing havoc with our brains, but the pistonheads crew thought we should take advantage of this fine (but much delayed) weather by organising a ‘Sunday Service’. Afterall, we haven’t met to chat and breathe cars since June.
So what better place to convene than at Silverstone this Sunday (August 12)? The epicentre of British motor racing is hosting round eight of the British GT championship this weekend,
Show and shine at this weekend's Sunday service
but it won’t cost pistonheads attendees a penny.
British GT loves us so much that they’re creating a private pistonheads parking area as well as offering 150 free, yes, free race tickets to compliment our Sunday Service. Better still, ticket-winners will also be given a pit-lane tour (which money can’t buy) and a pre-race Q&A meeting with the drivers and engineers of Team Damax Ascari.
If you want to blag a free ticket, please send your name, address and car details ASAP to competitions@pistonheads.com with the subject ‘Silverstone Sunday Service’ and we’ll hand them out on a strictly first come first served basis. We’re hoping to sort out more free tickets for British GT’s other calendar fixtures at Thruxton, Croft and Rockingham later in the year.
So let’s get this straight. A pistonheads meet with the office crew, free British GT race tickets, free pit-pass and private pistonheads parking? Ladies and gentlemen, you have no excuses….
