Volkswagen has unveiled special GTI versions of the Polo and Golf to enthusiasts gathered at the annual Wörthersee VW/Audi 'motor show'.
Both the Golf and Polo GTI ‘Wörthersee 09’ models get Firespark metallic paintwork, red and black nappa leather seats with white leather piping and aluminium tread plates with the 'GTI Wörthersee 09' logo.
The sporty Polo also gets a set of black ‘go-faster’ stripes, a sports exhaust system and 18-inch ‘Budapest’ alloy wheels. According to VW, it hints towards the future production of a new Polo performance model.
The Golf runs on glossy black 19-inch alloys and gets a new set of LED rear lights. Volkswagen has also lowered the GTI to improve handling and fitted a new sports exhaust to provide a more aural stimulation.
VW also unveiled a new range of branded products for GTI fans that included a GTI baby seat and a GTI mobile phone complete with unique GTI ringtone. Don't call us...
