The Ferrari F430 Scuderia is a fine balance – a subtle power increase, clever weight loss and some Schumacher know-how. And then Ferrari-tuners Novitec come along and crank the power up by another 200bhp, paint the alloys yellow and fit blacked-out rear lights. Hmmm.
Luckily for those who don’t trust Ferrari’s ability to create the perfect F430 the Novitec Rosso version has now arrived, complete with not one, but two superchargers. The car now has 717bhp ,will now top 215mph and will accelerate to 62mph in 3.5 seconds.
The heat insulated intake manifold have been redesigned to provide the engine with pre-compressed air and then it also gets two high performance air filters and eight larger injectors. The extra heat generated from the power hike is cooled with a higher capacity coolant system.
The car can also be fitted with a Novitec flat-bottomed steering wheel and carbon fibre shift paddles. Novitec sports springs lower the car although there is a hydraulic lift system to raise the nose 40mm in seconds.
So here you have it: a Scuderia Ferrari that is totally different from how the Prancing Horse intended it. Where do I sign?
