The wait between Le Mans Classics can feel like an absolute age. Unlike the 24 Hours of the Le Mans, the Classic event only happens once every other year, the last one being a few weeks after the 100th anniversary extravaganza in 2023. But the wait is almost over folks, as 2025 marks the return of the Classic (3rd to 6th July) to La Sarthe and, as ever, we’ll be there to soak up all the action.
As historic motorsport events go, the Le Mans Classic is right up there with the Goodwood Revival and Monaco Historic. This isn’t a place for wealthy car collectors to parade around in their priceless pieces of Le Mans history: it’s a proper race weekend where some of the most iconic (and many priceless) cars ever to grace the 8.5-mile la Sarthe circuit battle it out as if it were the 24 Hours.
Great racing aside, it’s obviously the cars that steal the show. Every era from a century of Le Mans 24 Hour history is represented, ranging from (surprisingly quick) pre-war heroes through to Group C monsters, screaming GT1s and the more recent LMP projectiles. The really is something for everyone, which is all the more reason to come and join us for the 2025 event.
As was the case for last year’s Classic (and for the 24, too), we’ve partnered up with 1st Tickets for a camping spot that’s within touching distance of the action. The package includes plenty of perks too, including:
- Pre-allocated camping pitches mean there's no rush, your space will be set out for you whenever you arrive
- Cooked meals included (3x full English breakfast and 3x evening meals)
- Fenced perimeter for your peace of mind
- On-site security, including night patrols at the weekend, to protect your car and belongings
- Private toilets and warm showers, so no long queues for the facilities
- Large marquee with a cash bar - a social hub for all campers whatever the weather, with live TV coverage of the race so you don't miss any of the action
- Free Wi-Fi access
And of course, general admission tickets are included, as are Channel crossings (standard up to five-day return), and you can bolt on some extras too, such as pre-erected tents, grandstand seating and even parade laps.
With old prototypes tearing around one of the greatest circuits on planet earth through day and night, next year’s Le Mans Classic is set to be a memorable one. And because it only comes around once every two years, we’re expecting it to be in huge demand, so make sure to register your interest here so you know the moment packages go on sale. See you at La Sarthe!
