Lamborghini and watchmaker Blancpain are celebrating the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo racing series with a new special edition: the Gallardo LP 570-4 Blancpain Edition.
The edition is based on the Superleggera, with a few bits from the race car tacked on - including that corker of a rear spoiler and an engine cover designed to optimise airflow. The car also comes with Skorpius wheels with yellow-painted brake calipers and discs made from carbon-ceramic composite. Carbonfibre also features on the wing mirror housings and other body addenda.
The entire interior is finished in black Alcantara with yellow accents and visible carbonfibre. You get Blancpain logos on the exterior, as well as in the cockpit in yellow stitching.
Propulsion for the Gallardo LP 570-4 Blancpain Edition comes courtesy of the 570 hp V10 power unit from the series production Superleggera - as is the case for the Super Trofeo race car. With a dry weight of no more than 1340 kilograms, it's the lightest road-going model in Lamborghini's range - hence a 0-62mph time of 3.4secs and a top speed that's said 'to exceed 199mph'. Whether that's supposed to mean it cracks 200mph, we're not entirely sure.
The cost? We're guessing they're saving that for the Paris motor show.
