Director Ron Howard has announced that his eagerly anticipated Grand Prix film
'Rush'
will get its international release on September 20 next year.

The film portrays the 1976 championship fight between James Hunt (played by Australian actor Chris Hemsworth) and Niki Lauda (played by German actor Daniel Bruhl). Although filming was done and dusted earlier this year, Howard has cited
complex postproduction sound editing
as the main reason for the lengthy wait.
The film's official site has been launched over the weekend along with a new selection of pictures, shown here. A combination of period cars and replicas have been used for filming, with Lauda's fiery Nurburgring crash recreated at the circuit in April, as spied by our own Dale Lomas.
The script has been written by Peter Morgan, who also has Frost/Nixon and The Queen on his CV. Should be worth a look - shame there's a 13-month wait...
