Le Mans Classic is no longer a biennial treat. From July 2nd-5th 2026, the event returns once again to Circuit de la Sarthe, and this year’s Legend Edition is set to be one of the most exciting yet.
With a focus on endurance racing icons from 1976 to 2015, plus brand-new Legends of Le Mans grids, this year blends proper modern-era pace with all the atmosphere that makes Le Mans Classic such a special weekend. Tickets are available now on the 1st Tickets website. Here’s why you should be there with us…
1. Legends of Le Mans grids
New for 2026, the Legends of Le Mans series brings back LMP1, LMP2 and GT cars from the 2010s to full racing duties. These are proper prototypes and GT cars that many of us watched race only a few years ago - and seeing them unleashed again at Le Mans is something pretty special. Big downforce, big speed and some of the most recognisable endurance racers of recent times, back where they belong.
2. GT3 Revival and Group C heroes
The GT3 Revival Series returns, featuring GT3 machinery from 2006 to 2013 - cars that helped shape modern GT racing and still sound just as good as ever. Alongside them, the much-loved Group C cars will once again be stretching their legs around the Sarthe. If you like outrageous aero, turbo whoosh and proper endurance heritage, this alone is worth the trip.
3. It’s a full-on motorsport festival
Le Mans Classic has never just been about the racing. The whole circuit becomes a celebration of motorsport, with club displays, exhibitions, parades and thousands of special cars spread across the site. There’s always something to see, something to hear and somewhere to wander - whether you’re trackside, in the paddock, or just soaking up the atmosphere.
4. Proper access to the cars
One of the big reasons Le Mans Classic feels so different to modern race meetings is how close you can get. With paddock access, you can wander among the cars, watch the teams at work, and get up close to machinery you’d normally only see on the screens. It’s a level of access that’s getting rarer and rarer, and it makes the whole weekend feel far more immersive.
5. Racing through the night
Just like the real 24 Hours, Le Mans Classic runs deep into the night. Watching legendary endurance cars pounding around the circuit under the floodlights is a huge part of what makes the event so memorable. Add in live music, food, bars and entertainment across the site, and you’ve got a weekend that’s as much about atmosphere as it is lap times.
6. Camping with PistonHeads
