Trophy Trucks are marvellous feats of engineering, used to conquering terrain impassable to pretty much everything else. So what happens when you transfer these trucks to a street circuit?
The Speed Energy Stadium Super Trucks series - to give the championship its full name - brings these behemoths to the streets, from Australia to China and the United States. 600hp V8s powering 1,300kg of steel tubing and fibreglass is going to the get the adrenaline flowing! Throw in healthy grids and 90cm jumps and you get incredible racing. Onboard footage shows how close these drivers are to one another and the amount of airtime they get on those jumps. The liveries are worth keeping an eye out for too - McDonald's and Fleurieu milk are our favourites.
This video is from the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide earlier this year and it's fairly brilliant. If you're upset about Supercars losing their V8s, this could be the series for you!
