Team PH hit the road again this weekend, this time heading north to join The Motorist for a special Sunday Service twist on their ever-popular Cars & Coffee gathering. The Yorkshire weather did its usual thing - four seasons in one morning - but that didn’t stop over 700 cars from descending on the venue, serving up another glorious display of automotive variety.
As ever, Porsches were out in force. A rather tastefully specced Spyder RS turned plenty of heads, as did a healthy turnout of GT3s—Touring and RS flavours alike. The changing conditions also brought the hot hatch faithful into their element, with everything from FK8s and FL5 Type Rs, to rowdy track builds and a pleasing mix of original and modern Minis. The icing on the cake? Not one, but two Dimma 205s. Be still our beating hearts.
But it wasn’t all about boosty hatches and flat-six thunder. Nostalgia made a strong showing too - there was a wonderfully clean Lotus Excel, a spot-on Evo IV, and a duo of Lancia Delta Integrales. A proper treat for the old-school brigade.
Of course, The Motorist isn’t just about the cars - even if the car park alone is worth the drive. The on-site enthusiast store is one of the best we’ve come across. Whether you’re after detailing gear, motorsport merch, die-cast models or even candles that smell of burnt rubber (no, really), they’ve got you covered. And on the subject of gear, some of you may have clocked the PH team in brand-new merch. That’s our fresh 2025 Le Mans collection, available now on the PistonHeads shop. And yes, the 15% discount is still live until the end of May - just use code PHLM25 at checkout.
Next up, we’re heading to Le Mans for the Classic British Welcome and our Friday Service. If you're keen to join, there are a few (very few) spots left, and you can grab your place here. Trust us, it's going to be a belter.
Massive thanks to everyone who came out, whether you’ve been a PistonHead since day one or if you’ve just joined the fold. These events are only as good as the people who come to them, and as ever, you lot delivered. Join in the conversation here.
