There'll be 9 black Roushs sitting on a wall
Whilst munching on our lunchtime butties and playing the usual game of “if I had an unlimited budget what car would I buy”, we turned up this rather tragic result on ebay.
Sadly, number three of just 10 of the run-out Roush-tuned Ford GT 600REs has bitten the dust.
With just 512 miles on the clock, the car was just three days old when it went the great Nordschleife in the sky, costing the car’s insurer £145,000 in the process.
The car is being sold for spares, as the company selling the car has to retain the chassis, presumably for insurance reasons. However, absolutely anything that unbolts from the car is up for grabs as one job lot.
According to the ad, the engine and gearbox appear totally undamaged, and would make a great 600bhp addition to a very special GT40 replica, Ultima or similar.
The winning bidder will have to pay VAT in addition to whatever the car is sold for, but chances are it might prove to be a bargain way of getting your hands on a pretty serious set of underpinnings.
