Original poster 'Layercake' is looking for a car that will surprise plenty of people at traffic lights, has decent parts availability and that won't lose too much value either. Not many requests... Recently, Mighty Car Mods dropped a Subaru EJ25 engine in a 1974 VW Beetle and increased its power ten-fold. Everything else had been left original to stay under the radar. Even mainstream manufacturers like Mercedes-AMG has clocked on to the sleeper look by offering a 'Business Line' option for its E63 AMG models in mainland Europe. This is all aesthetic, removing AMG branding from the exterior including the quad exhausts and leaving a discreet executive monster.
