Is V12 Vantage RS heading to Geneva?
Aston Martin could be bringing not one but two new models to the Geneva show next month. Bearing in mind the Rapide and One-77 are also not far away it seems the British manufacturer has decided to stick two fingers up to the credit crunch and embark on a model blitz.
First up is the DBS convertible, which will be pretty-much a DBS with no roof, and we shall have to wait and see if it loses any of its focus in the transition. Next is the V12 Vantage RS, which has been hanging around for a while and is said to be finally ready.
It is essentially a V8 Vantage with the 600bhp V12 engine from the DBRS9 race car, plus some louvers and carbon fibre. Perhaps this is the car that the DBS was supposed to be?
Production of the latter is likely to be limited and it should go head-to-head with cars like the Ferrari Scuderia…
