Proof that money can't buy you taste - National Lottery millionaires are more likely to walk into a Vauxhall dealership than they are a showroom full of Range Rovers, Porsches, Audis and Jaguars.
Ipsos MORI has conducted a survey of 100 National Lottery millionaires and discovered that 36 per cent of winners went for a car before a new house or even a high-street shopping spree, and 15 per cent opt for a Vauxhall.
This makes the Griffin the fourth most popular choice of motor for Lottery winners - ahead of even Roll-Royce and Ferrari...
"This is great news for Vauxhall," says Andy Gilson, Vauxhall's Marketing Director. "It goes to show that, while exotic brands like Ferrari and Rolls-Royce may feature further down National Lottery winners' shopping lists, they're still a pragmatic group at heart - but one that still recognises quality and value!"
One things for certain - sensible and sometimes appealing cars they may be, but nobody at PH Towers would be heading for a Vauxhall if their numbers came up!
