Can you spot our secret snapper? Thought not.
We’re big fans of up-and-coming new metal here at PH. Recently, we’ve been able to get our hands on a lot of spy photos from various folks who spend their days hiding out at Brünnchen and the like all in the name of a scoop.
Now we’ve gone one better and can bring you a video compilation of some of next year’s most interesting cars.
The great thing about the vid is you can see just how hard these prototypes are pushed in the pursuit of motoring perfection (listen out for the blue Astra OPC/VXR, and Mercedes B-Class); and the engine notes of rumoured upcoming cars (keep an eye out for the R8 and Lexus LFA supercars).
As you would expect, there are plenty of offerings from the German manufacturers: Porsche is busy honing the 911 facelift in both standard and Turbo guises, and there are also a couple of Cayennes doing the rounds.
Mercedes is clearly busy getting the Black Series SL right, with DTM driver Bernd Schneider at the wheel; while the C63 wagon is also being put through its paces.
BMW is busy with the new X6 and 7-Series/Rolls Royce mule, and, more interestingly, pounding round a blue M3 which may be one of the CSL prototypes.
Rounding off the German contingent is the Audi A1 mule disguised as a Polo we’ve featured, an R8 and a Golf GTI which is probably tyre testing.
Other marques are represented by an Alfa 8C undergoing final calibration; two hot Meganes, one with flared arches and a roll cage; and a glorious sounding white Aston V8 Vantage on performance pack testing duties.
