When the X-Bow went on sale, KTM expected to build around 500 cars annually. Imagine their (pleasant) surprise when the order book number reached 1000 before the first car had even been delivered.
The unprecidented demand has prompted KTM to build a brand new plant specifically for X-Bow production with the first car expected to be delivered in early 2008. X-Bow carries a price tag of $55,000- that equates to approx £27K at todays exchange rate but we believe the car is more likely to cost UK buyers around £35,000.
220bhp pushes the X-Bow along, coming from an Audi sourced 2.0 TFSI lump, but this translates into more than 180mph and a 0-60 time sub 4 seconds.
