It seems that German coachbuilder Xenatec, the company that will build the
limited editon Maybach coupe we revealed last Friday
, is even madder than we first thought - as these bizarre ideas for alternative body styles of top-end cars attest.
Now, the cliché police will almost certainly shut down PH for this, but it is often said that a picture paints a thousand words. If that's the case, then the weird but (mostly) wonderful imagined creations of Xenatec would make a decent-sized fantasy novel.
We just hope some of them (particularly the four-door BMW 6-series and the four-door Porsche 997 that manages to be significantly prettier than a Panamera) make reality out of fantasy.
Actually, on that note the Xenatec website says some of them actually have been built, but doesn't say which ones: "Our Dream Car gallery introduces several vehicles that have been produced already and exciting design studies, although, of course, much more is possible. Your imagination knows no bounds. Be inspired." Quite.
