After a week of sideways rain, howling winds and only the occasional flash of sunshine, we didn’t really know what to expect for last weekend’s Sunday Service. Thankfully, the car gods were on our side – and so was the team at ZERONINE Design.
The firm isn’t exactly what you’d expect to find tucked away on a farm on the outskirts of Hinckley. Heading down the driveway past the farmhouse, you could make out the usual mix of barns and outbuildings – but what we didn’t expect was to be greeted with military hardware: a pair of tanks, a truck built to carry said tanks, and a Mercedes Unimog, to name just a few. It set the tone perfectly for a proper Sunday Service.
Immediately next to those sat the HQ. Outside, a flock of immaculate Yaris GRs lined up alongside Fiesta STs and Focus STs sporting the ZERONINE touch. Inside? A Heritage Edition Ford GT (in Gulf Livery, of course), a Porsche GT3 and a breathtaking Ferrari 250 SWB.
Of course, these events wouldn’t be complete without the machinery brought along by the PH crowd. As ever, the variety is what makes Sunday Services special – from a lovingly cared-for 106 Quicksilver and a 911 on airbags, right through to a Suzuki Swift GTI and even a Ferrari 488 Spider. Naturally, being specialists when it comes to Fords, the venue drew plenty of fast Fords, including two generations of Focus RSs, a Bullitt Mustang, and a host of highly modified Fiesta STs.
The real highlight, though, was getting behind the scenes. The ZERONINE team opened their doors for guided tours, showing how their parts and products come to life. From CAD modelling and CFD simulations to 3D scanning and precision machining, everything is handled in-house. The result? Components engineered with the obsessive detail you’d expect from a top-flight motorsport outfit. In short: ZERONINE doesn’t do “good enough” – everything is built to fit perfectly, look stunning, and perform even better.
That mix of engineering rigour and petrolhead passion shone through, whether the team was talking structural integrity or showing off their custom Belly Tanker gin bottles. It’s clear they care about the details, and the PHers in attendance loved every minute. A huge thank you to Max and the ZERONINE crew for hosting our September Sunday Service – we’ll definitely be back!
