You can always tell how good a Sunday Service is going to be by the first few cars through the gates. Yes, there are always the odd surprise appearances - and quite frankly, PHers always bring something special - but on this occasion, we knew we were onto a winner in the first five minutes.
A gorgeously specced, carbon-fibre-adorned Alpine A110 R set the tone early on, closely followed by a classic Aston Martin Vantage and a '90s Honda NSX, complete with its pop-up headlights proudly on show. Add in a few more early heavy hitters, and it was immediately clear this was going to be a very strong start to the year.
Then came what can only be described as a heroic showing from the yellow car contingent. From a Clio RS and Mégane R26.R, to a suitably outrageous AMG GT R and Porsche GT3, bringing some artificial sunshine to a grey February morning - and we were absolutely here for it.
There were also plenty of individual highlights dotted around the site. A big shout-out goes to the beautifully presented AC Ace and Alpine GTA, both drawing plenty of attention, while a Clio V6 reminded everyone just how mad (and brilliant) hot hatches used to be. We also spotted several Clubsport S Golfs, a Renault Avantime doing its wonderfully weird thing, and a modified Vauxhall Cavalier that proved once again that nostalgia is a powerful force.
Of course, the British Motor Museum itself is the perfect backdrop for a Sunday Service. With over 400 historic British cars on display, spanning everything from early motoring to modern performance icons, from a Max Power-era Corsa to the unmistakable presence of John Lennon’s Rolls-Royce, there was something for everyone.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped kick off our 2026 calendar in such strong style. If this is anything to go by, we’re in for a cracking year. Join in the conversation and share your photos on the original forum thread here.
Our next event will be our annual trip to Mercedes-Benz World on Sunday, 8th March - with tickets available very soon. We hope to see you there.
