Goodwood fever is in full swing. The Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard is mere weeks away and whether you’re a perennial attendee or a festival first-timer, there’s a great case for upgrading your experience. Just £89 per year gets you into the GRRC Fellowship for 12 months of goodies, discounts and advanced ticket opportunities to make your visit to petrolheads’ Glastonbury that little bit sweeter.
Most enticingly, it opens up early booking opportunities, with tickets available earlier for each key event to help you effortlessly book the days you wish to attend before they sell out. You can get 10 per cent off those tickets too.
If you’re already attending the fast-approaching Festival of Speed on July 10-13th, you can enjoy privileged access to GRRC Pit Stop enclosures for a more intimate peek at the iconic cars and legendary drivers that grace the Goodwood lawns and hillclimb every summer. With 150,000 people in attendance, it’s a great way to get closer to the action without having to sharpen your elbows.
Even better, the Goodwood Fellowship opens the opportunity to attend Saturday night’s star-studded Summer Ball – not to mention some appealing discounts at the abundant retailers dotted around the Festival of Speed site. It's all wrapped up with a membership pack including a metal badge and car sticker, the perfect flourish to keep anticipation bubbling as you count down the days to mid-July.
What will we see at the Festival of Speed this year? A celebration of 75 years of Formula One plus a celebration of Gordon Murray’s storied, six-decade career are the headliners, alongside brand-new performance car premieres plus road and race cars, old and new, in action and scattered delicately around Goodwood House. Whether anything can touch the 39.081s record climb of the 1.17-mile hill, set in 2022 by the mighty McMurtry Spéirling, remains to be seen. But you can guarantee noise and drama as the attending cars battle it out for glory.
If you can’t make FOS – or simply can’t get enough Goodwood action – then Fellowship status also allows fantastic access to September’s Goodwood Revival. Not only can you book tickets with that 10 per cent discount, but you can enter the site one hour early during the event and enjoy truly exclusive access to competitor test days ahead of the weekend. Among the oldest and most challenging racetracks anywhere in the world, the wheel-to-wheel action (in priceless historics, don’t forget…) is something every enthusiast ought to experience. A bonus peek at testing beforehand is too good to miss.
Fellowship also opens up access to Goodwood Circuit’s exclusive event, the increasingly popular and always thrilling Members’ Meeting. It’s a weekend like no other, even by Goodwood standards, offering an uncrowded, access-all-areas approach to some unforgettable racing and demonstrations. Members’ Meeting is exclusively available to Members and Fellows of the Goodwood Road Racing Club; Fellowship lets you purchase four tickets as well as attend those amazing pre-event test sessions.
Joining the Goodwood Fellowship can also get you on the waiting list for full GRRC Membership, while opening up access to private GRRC Breakfast Club events throughout the year. A whole lot of Goodwood, then, whichever of the Duke of Richmond’s storied events takes your fancy. We’ll see you there…
