Rather than make another Bullitt or Eleanor rep with his late-60s Mustang, Steve Strope had a rather different idea. Namely, adorn the Mustang with one of the most iconic liveries ever, install a racing engine and finish the car to an absurdly high standard.
The result is the Martini Mustang. Alright, it's not an authentic period livery for the Mustang, but does that matter when the result looks like this? Owner Strope describes it as 'loud and fast art' which, even allowing for owner bias, is actually quite accurate. There always seems to be another aspect to look at, inside and out.
The interior is particularly lovely, with details like the AC pedals and cue ball gearknob featuring in a very, very clean cabin. It really does look like a show car, which is less surprising when you discover Steve and the guys at Pure Vision prepare cars for SEMA.
The Mustang's 'big wow', though, is reserved for under the hood (sorry, bonnet), but we'll let Steve tell you all about that...
