Usually, the news of special edition models marking six decades of partnership with a Dutch car dealership probably wouldn't make the PH homepage. But, y'know, these aren't usual times, so here we are: the Morgan LE60 Anniversary cars.
They pay tribute to the ongoing partnership between Morgan at Malvern and specialist dealership Louwman Exclusive, based in Utrecht, where Morgans have been sold to Dutch customers since 1960. Marking the occasion are five cars, offered in three specifications, designed to demonstrate Morgan's ability to create "tailored design" in its models.
Four of the LE60s are Plus Sixes, with two in Ice Blue and another pair in Scintilla Silver. Yellow is a prominent theme in both, with the Ice Blue car showing off 19-inch wire-look alloy wheels and the silver Six borrowing the 18s from the old Plus 8 Speedster. Note LE60 decals stitched and painted throughout both, too.
The 3-Wheeler seen here is unique in the LE60 collection, painted Almond Green but maintaining the yellow theme as well. Here the interior logo has been laser engraved into the leather dash panel, which looks pretty smart. In fact, don't be surprised to see one or two more customer requests for Almond Green given how nicely this has turned out.
Morgan's Chief Sales Officer, Marcus Blake, said of the new cars: "When Louwman contacted us with their plans to celebrate 60 years as a Morgan dealer, we wanted to make sure they did so in style. All Morgan cars are special, but with consultation from our design team, these bespoke LE60 specials are especially beautiful and unique."
Obviously, though, these cars will only be offered to customer in Holland. Buyers over here might be intrigued, however, by those Morgans already built: military green suits a 3-Wheeler very nicely too, and this Plus Six in Silverstone Grey also gets those excellent Speedster wheels. And absolutely no anniversary excuses required...
