Austec Racing is launching an engine building service, catering for TVR engines, including the Rover V8, although its main focus will be on TVR's in-house AJP V8 and Speed Six motors.
Trading on its work in the past with a number of component manufacturers and its re-engineering of a number of TVR engine components, Austec reckoned that it can "offer most parts in modified form from a valve guide to a crank".
Austec said that it's carried out tests of many of the new components on its own Tamora demo car and has been testing new components on an AJP project car throughout 2005.
It's also built a clean room for engine work and is expecting to take delivery of an 800bhp dyno to be fitted over the Christmas period, to complement its existing chassis dyno. This will enable all engines to be dyno-tested before being supplied or fitted.
A running-in service is also available, and all work is guaranteed; warranties are optional.
