Every now and again something comes along in the world of cars that just stops you in your tracks, making even top-flight supercars suddenly seem a bit dull. This is one of them – the Ferrambo.
What you are looking at is a 1960 Nash Rambler Wagon with full Ferrari 360 drivetrain, all done with the most exquisite detailing. It is the creation of Tim Divers from Divers Street Rods and Mike Warn, and after winning this year’s desirable Riddler street rod award at the 2008 Detroit Autorama they have decided to sell it.
The Ferrambo – no connection with Lambo as far as we can tell – was created by taking the Rambler Wagon and fitting a 360 V8 and 6-speed manual gearbox from a 2002 donor vehicle. The car is being sold through GP Imports and as there is no specific asking price we are guessing it won't come cheap.
The interior was then completely overhauled to give it a Ferrari look. Not content with just the engine and gearbox the duo then fitted the Ferrari Unequal Wishbone front and rear suspension and fitted one-off machined 18x8.5 front and 20x10 rear wheels. The coolest bit? It has to be the bespoke luggage set slotted under the bonnet. The pictures speak for themselves…
