Ineos certainly couldn’t be accused of not offering its Grenadier customers plenty of choice. There’s SUV or pick up, for one thing, van or civilian spec, petrol or diesel, the chassis cab, the Arcane Works bespoke division… it would seem that most bases are covered. But Ineos has spotted an opportunity amongst all that, the result being the creation of the Grenadier Trialmaster X. It basically takes the off-road goodies of a Trialmaster with all the convenience features of a Fieldmaster, creating ‘a new elite specification for the Grenadier.’
Available as both a Station Wagon and Quartermaster truck, Trialmaster X gets locking diffs on both axles, BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres, a raised air intake, safari windows and lockable external storage. On the Fieldmaster side of the equation, that means heated leather seats and a ‘premium sound system’. The usual catalogue of Ineos accessories can also be added on; there’s a standard-fit tow ball with a seven-ton gross train weight.
Ineos Automotive CEO Lynn Calder said: “Three years on from launch, we continue to evolve the Grenadier line-up, broadening its appeal in response to customer feedback. Building on the significant enhancements introduced for 2026, Trialmaster X is the pinnacle all-rounder. The ultimate combination of off-road toughness, premium day-to-day comfort and intrepid spirit.” The new model is on sale now, priced at £75,195 for the SW and £75,010 for a Quartermaster - £5k more than either Trialmaster or Fieldmaster spec. Devil Red, Scottish White, Magic Mushroom and Donny Grey are the colours offered. Expect it on the road (and a long way off it) soon.
