Though first revealed long enough ago to have earned an actual real-life motor show debut (Geneva 2019), the Koenigsegg Jesko remains one of the wildest cars on the planet. It was named after Christian von Koenigsegg’s old man, for starters, so it was hardly likely to be modestly specified. 1,600hp, a literal tonne of downforce, and the ability to hit 250mph in 17 seconds saw to that. All the 125 buyers had to do was choose between Absolut spec (which prioritised speed) or Attack (like a Koenigsegg track package), hand over their three million, and then experience their world being turned inside out.
Now they have another decision to make, albeit not with a Koenigsegg option. Because now Mansory has a Jesko aero package - truly nothing is sacred. But for those that want a supercar to look like something invading from another dimension, then here it is. Mansory’s latest upgrade comprises 17 parts, from front boomerangs to roof scoop and rear eyebrows to diffuser. By Mansory standards it’s probably not actually that crazy, if only because the base car was already about as extreme as road cars got.
Certainly this example, in a peachy-stone sort of colour, allows you to see where the additional carbon features. The front end now looks like something from a Time Attack car, the answer to the question of ‘how many flics should there be?’ apparently just ‘yes’. The bonnet is as dramatically slatted as a TVR Sagaris, only it’s hard to notice that with everything else going on. The wild new side skirts climb half way up the wheel, the strakes attached to the door are enormous, and the rear of the Jesko is just wing, diffuser and exhaust. There’s barely any space for actual bodywork.
Still, if the point of a supercar is to make people stop and stare (and swear) at a hundred paces, then it’s mission accomplished for the Mansory Jesko. They’ve been doing this since 1989, too, don’t forget; Mansory supercars aren’t exactly for the purist, but they’re clearly appealing to enough people. The effort has been put in here, surely, as Mansory believes there are Koenigsegg customers who want it. Or otherwise they wouldn’t have bothered. And what’s a few more thousand euros of carbon when you’ve spent millions already? This Jesko Attack is less than a year old, UK-registered, and ready for everything Mansory can throw at it…
