You know what you're getting with Abt: Take fast Audi, make fast Audi faster still. And nothing is going to change that in 2020, with a new 'Abt Power S' kit for the RS4. Bringing together the latest Abt ECU tune with an additional water cooler kit and air intake cover - the latter surely worth at least 10hp - the smallest RS Avant is now capable of 530hp and 502lb ft. They're substantial improvements on the standard car's 450hp/442lb ft - and that wasn't slow to begin with.
All well and good. But what's also classic Abt is to whack on plenty more besides just the extra power. So this latest car is also available with new 'DR', 'FR', or 'GR' wheels, available in three different kinds of black finish; there's an Abt Sportsline suspension kit, too, which replaces the Dynamic Ride Control and, when combined with the larger 21-inch wheel option, has the makings of an Audi that looks as good as the one pictured here. And a potentially ruinous ride.
In addition, and not shown off quite so well here, are the extra Abt carbon elements. Willing customers can add "wheelhouse ventilation adorned with real carbon fins" and a rear spoiler, as well as everything from a gear lever to seat covers offered in the glossy black stuff.
So vast is the array of bits available for the RS4 that Abt has a configurator to pick and choose the best ones for you. Us? We'll take subtle grey like this one, please, with the 530hp and maybe some jazzy wheels. Then go pestering R8s, most likely...
