BMW M4 GTS
is certainly one of the cars we're most eagerly anticipating in 2016; the prospect of an M3 with power up to 500hp and weight down a fraction is one we're desperate to try.
Here's our best look at it yet, BMW having released the video of it recording a 7:28 lap round the Nordschleife. It must have been one of the last recorded before the speed limits were introduced, plus of course the circuit tweaks that are due next year.
What's interesting to see, beyond the outright speed, is the composure the M4 GTS shows over the bumpy North Loop. Where the standard car really struggles to put its power down over less than perfect surfaces, this car seems to find traction and speed just about everywhere. While we don't look into lap times too much as an indicator of a car's behaviour, this performance certainly augurs well for the GTS. Bring on 2016!
