July), Bonhams will be hosting an auction of Porsche cars and memorabilia ahead of the Silverstone Classic weekend. Starting at 17.30, there’s a host of cars, brochures, magazines and programmes for not just Porsche but any enthusiast. How about 1952 Le Mans 24 hour programme anyone?

Top of our wish list here in the PH office is the 1973 911 Carrera RS Touring Coupe in rare script-free “Dalmatian Blue” (pictured). Porsche’s iconic lightweight road going classic is expected to receive bids of up to £125,000.

If the 911 doesn’t whet your appetite, then there’s always the elegant 1957 356A Speedster, estimated to reach £80,000…

With 25 other Porsches of various age and provenance plus memorabilia ranging from a 1969 917 sales brochure to a Christmas card from Ferry Porsche himself, you’d better get your cheque book ready.
