Reader's Car of the Week: M3 Competition Pack

You don't have to look far on PistonHeads, be that in the editorial or the forum content, to find a BMW M3 discussion. Not only is it a realistic dream car for some, it remains somewhere near the new sports saloon benchmark and nearly every single one depreciates to a temptingly low level; until they shoot back up in value, M3s can be very cheap (to buy) indeed.

So it's no surprise that PHer 'RS Grant' found his way into an M3 after looking for something rear-wheel drive to replace his Golf R. Having discounted various Audis and Mercedes, he managed to find this 2010 Coupe in a very rare spec: a facelifted manual with the desirable Competition Pack, there can't be many others like it.

Being based in Scotland this PHer is close to some incredible roads, as you can see in the thread. In addition he's detailed just what life is like with a V8 M car compared to a 2.0-litre Golf in every aspect - set aside some time for that read, it's very good.

Sadly all is not perfect at present though, with the M3 at a dealer to have error messages tended to. Fingers crossed these aren't serious issues; we can't wait to see where the car is going next!

So congratulations 'RS Grant', your M3 Competition Pack is our Reader's Car of the Week. Hope you continue to enjoy it - read the full thread here.
