While Lamborghini has, in recent years, made its cars more accessible, more user-friendly and more forgiving than ever, they've never lost that ability to make passers-by stop and stare. There's really little else on four wheels that can wrench retinas from where they're meant to be like a Lamborghini, even if they no longer require Crossfit strength and the dexterity of a gymnast to get the best from them.
The new Huracan Evo is the perfect exponent of that, dramatic and beautiful in the finest Sant'Agata tradition - but actually a model of docility to drive. Of course, though, this isn't enough for Novitec and its customers, so today the tuner's announced a raft of upgrades to make this Lamborghini louder, both visually and acoustically.
The increase in volume comes courtesy of a carbon-tipped Novitec Race exhaust system, promising more performance and "an even sportier" note - as if the standard Huracan noise lacks in this department... It's available as an Inconel with gold heat protection for full exhaust pipe bling, too.
Naturally, a Novitec'd Huracan can be lowered (keeping whichever dampers the car has, but with sport springs) on a range of larger forged wheels, although the real changes come from the additional carbon that's on offer. From an N-Largo-spec engine cover, to rear spoiler and side window air intake, there isn't much surface area on your Huracan that can't be carbon. It should be noted that Novitec claims all the aerodynamic parts were tuned in the wind tunnel, although the claims of making the Evo "even sportier and more individual" will surely appeal more to prospective clients.
Novitec hasn't yet released pricing for its Huracan Evo bits and bobs, though carbon fibre, forged wheels and Inconel exhausts never did come cheap. Don't despair, however; a 640-4 like this 1,800-milerrepresents a handy £25k off list price - surely the perfect amount to get started with the tinkering...
