This is silly now Subaru. And Toyota. We've seen the

already, all teasing us with more excitement - both real and suggested - in the 86/BRZ twins. Now there's another tweaked BRZ, the Series. Yellow; it's beyond the concept stage but is limited production and only for America - boo!
Best like yellow Americans
This won't be the car to convert the Toyobaru cynics, as it's still packing just 205hp and 156lb ft. However, for fans of the two cars, there are a couple of worthwhile tweaks that should make them even more fun. Firstly there are Sachs Performance dampers, promising "advanced handling and steering stability"; they're not exactly missing in the standard car, but more definitely sounds better.
Moreover, there are new springs and a larger rear anti-roll bar, plus chassis reinforcements at the strut tower braces, transmission cross-member plate and rear wheel housing. The stability control is recalibrated too, apparently drastic enough to have the Sport mode renamed Track.
Then if you get a little too enthusiastic in Track mode, the Series. Yellow also comes with Brembo four-piston front calipers and upgraded two-piston calipers at the back. Subaru says the new brakes give a "significant boost" in "stopping power, fade resistance, and pedal feel."

The Series. Yellow also takes on the

mechanical tweaks, with a "several internal updates" for reduced friction, a new exhaust manifold and a lower final drive. Keen spotters will have noticed the cosmetic refresh as well, with new daytime running lights, a redesigned front bumper and indicators now in the headlight cluster.
Oddly these updates haven't been announced for UK BRZs yet, but you would have to assume they will follow soon enough. As for the enhanced brakes and dampers, don't hold out too much hope. But if we keep pestering for a more track focused version, surely they have to listen eventually, don't they?
