After a successful weekend at Silverstone Classic earlier this year, we're now looking forward to heading back in 2020 for their 30th anniversary. Historic racing has a call that's hard for us to resist, and who can blame us when you see what they have racing over the weekend...
If you haven't been to Silverstone Classic before, then you're missing out. On what exactly? Well, on 31st July - 2nd August 2020, Silverstone's grid will be graced by the likes of the FIA Masters Historic Formula One cars, RAC Tourist Trophy Pre '63 GT cars, the Classic Mini Challenge and Historic Touring Cars, with much, much more being announced in the coming months...
Not only will there be fantastic racing from historic legends, Silverstone's surrounding grounds will also be packed full of classic cars, sports cars and supercars from over one hundred different clubs, with 1,000 drivers competing and over 100,000 attendees. There is also family entertainment throughout the whole weekend, such as 4x4 rides, vintage funfair rides, Young Drivers school, for football fans there is the Yokohoma Chelsea Skills Zone, Terry Grant stunt shows, drift car demonstrations, and live music, to name but a few!
Once again, camping will be offered at Silverstone Woodlands to people attending the event, and with it being located just 250 metres from the circuit's gate 15 is an ideal alternative to staying in a hotel. On the camp site they have the Petrol Head Pub where there will be live music from local singers/bands, a complimentary shuttle service to the circuit, permanent purpose-built toilets and showers, camp site shop for essentials and a dedicated disabled area. There will also be pre-erected tents if you fancy a little more luxury!
